Gary Monterosso is an award-winning critic and expert in the beverage industry, with extensive experience in both media and education. He has contributed to national and regional publications and is a regular guest on You Oughta Know on WHYY-TV, a PBS station in Philadelphia. In addition, Gary hosts one-minute beverage updates on various southern New Jersey radio stations and recently launched Beverage Chronicles, a weekly program on POP FM 99.9 that highlights the drinks industry, from coffee to cocktails to craft beer.

Gary has had a long career in television, including a seven-year stint on the History Channel's The Epic History of Everyday Things. He is the author of Artisan Beers and teaches beer appreciation classes at Wilmington University, following a 41-year career as a New Jersey-based educator. Gary has made numerous appearances on television discussing craft beers and has also guest-starred on BBC radio to offer an American perspective on beverages. In 2014, he provided fall beer recommendations for CBS News New York.

One of the highlights of Gary's career was his three-year tenure on the Sirius Satellite Radio network, where he discussed the latest trends in the beer world. He was also named to Chilled Magazine's “Chilled 100” in 2014, a distinction recognizing the top 100 beverage personalities in the U.S. More recently, Gary was appointed to the Advisory Board of the American Craft Beer Hall of Fame, an organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating those who have helped shape the American craft beer industry.

Gary continues to be an active presence at regional beer events, hosting dinners and tasting seminars. He is a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone Certification Program, which recognizes his expertise in beer styles, culture, brewing processes, and ingredients
